Disruptive Behavior Disorder (DBD), including Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Conduct Disorder (CD) is a paediatric and adolescent condition characterized by severe aggression and/or persistent defiant behavior. It is heterogeneous, and our understanding of the neurobiology to subtype aggression is limited.

MATRICS is a multidisciplinary consortium of academic partners and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that focuses on the subtyping of aggression both within DBD and of the broader cross-disorder trait of aggression.

The expertise of the team encompasses the range of skills required to deliver a program of research that meets all of the call’s requirements and provides access to a number of unique animal models and already existing integrated DNA x MRI clinical and control cohorts. MATRICS builds on existing fruitful EU collaborations which maximize feasibility and successful output.
