The Institute of Psychiatry (IoP) is a part of King’s College London (KCL) and is one of the world’s largest post-graduate centres for research and teaching in psychiatry, psychology and basic and clinical neurosciences.
The Institute is world renowned for the quality of its research in psychiatry and psychology and is currently Europe’s leading centre in this area (Essential Science Indicators) and amongst the top five worldwide. In addition, KCL hosts the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology, the MRC Centre for Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry and is a partner organisation of the Francis Crick Institute.
